Getting to know Toni Benton...

Have you ever worked with a Realtor that doesn't respond to your calls, texts, or emails? How about the agent whose goal is simply getting a commission check? I'm NOT that Realtor! You are the center and focus of my business. Let's walk the neighborhood and ask questions of residents who live near a home you're considering. I'll answer your calls, texts, and emails. You need a Realtor to take the time to walk you through the process, provide you with reports on how your community is holding up in the market and develop a strategy to sell your home. I'm that Realtor.

I worked hard and earned my Broker Associate license, RESA Realtor Staging Designation, as well as the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation. What does this mean for you? It means you get a Realtor who chose to take their professional training to the next level! Realtors with the GRI designation have in-depth training in legal and regulatory issues, technology, professional standards, and the sales process. Education is a pillar to this job that I embrace which is why I hold training classes for agents on multiple topics related to our local market to assist in developing their real estate careers.

In case you're curious, here's some tidbits about me. I've seen the world and always come back to that one place I call home... Tampa Bay! I've enjoyed the great pleasure of living in Florida since 1986. Here, you'll find nearby fabulous restaurants, great entertainment, warm and friendly people, top quality schools, old Florida Architecture, and outdoor sports all year (just to name a few). I know... you might be thinking of several places that are much more exciting but I truly love Tampa Bay. Who wouldn't love working and playing where everyone else calls paradise or travels to for vacation? I'm proud to work daily for my clients, helping them buy and sell local real estate. I was raised in Washington State prior to moving to Florida in 1988. I attended university in Boca Raton and ended up at the brilliant, historical University of Tampa. Shortly after, I planted my roots in Pinellas County, Florida and claimed it as my home.

I was once told to know your country is to love your country. Yes, I love where I live yet I was always curious about how people lived around the world. I've sampled great wine in Chile, explored ruins in Mexico, was amazed by the jungles of Viet Nam (and the traffic in Ho Chi Minh City... Whoa!), basked in the sun in Thailand, followed a great tour guide in the Caribbean, explored the Passages of Paris and had the pleasure of meeting many other welcoming residents far and near. When it's winter in Florida we are lucky to have adventures camping with family and friends at one of Florida's many great parks; Fort Desoto (it's our family favorite)! I've never uttered the words "dull book", I always look forward to a kayaking or scuba diving adventure, and view family and friends as a truly important aspect of life.

Most of my days are spent working with delightful clients, staging homes, chatting with title companies, reading over home inspection reports, viewing homes, negotiating contracts, managing one of our many investment properties and rentals, putting a SOLD sign on a lawn or passing keys over to ecstatic new homeowners. The YMCA is a pillar to our community and I have graciously served on the advisory board since 2011. I finish my day by coming home to a super supportive husband, my three crazy fun boys, and the best rescue dog ever, Diesel.

I truly look forward to building a working relationship with you... welcome to my real estate family!
